While the world has been seeking to rob girls of their innocence, best-selling author Dannah Gresh has been fighting on the front lines to protect them.

Described as a champion for the evangelical chastity movement by Publishers Weekly, Gresh’s 2010 Secret Keeper Girl tour will stop in Elgin, IL March 18th at the Hemmens Cultural Center in downtown Elgin.  First Baptist Church of Elgin will be sponsoring this event.

Tickets are $12 in advance and are available at a group rate of $10 per person for groups of 10 or more  at First Baptist Elgin.  For more information, you may call 847-695-8700.

Spotlighting the important issues regarding tween girls, both The Today Show and USA Today recently (Feb 4th) featured a segment on pre-teen issues with USA Today’s headline story proclaiming, “It’s cooler than ever to be a tween, but is childhood lost?”

Developed from a series of books by Gresh, the event is geared for moms and their 8-12 year-old daughters and shares vital Biblical truths about true beauty. Now, Gresh’s fun mom/daughter connecting resources have moved to the stage in a brand new touring event playing cities across the nation.

The production features music, dramatized stories, multimedia, delightful humor, and fun audience participation all wrapped in colorful sets including gigantic balloon sculptures and dazzling special effects like confetti cannons and flying saucers. The event even includes their very own special Truth or Bare fashion show designed to discuss, teach and showcase inner beauty, peer pressure and modesty.
