“It is not good for the man to be alone”. Current trends tell us that we are becoming more and more isolated; stress, health concerns and loneliness are on the rise. From the triune God, to the creation of man, to the example of Christ and the disciples, to the picture of the early church in Acts, it is clear that it is not good for man to be alone. In a sense, it is within our DNA to desire a relationship with God and others. One of the best pictures of the church is that we are the “body” of Christ. With Christ the whole body is joined together, building up and supporting one another as each part does its work. To live as a fully devoted follower of Christ it is vital to be connected within a Biblical community.
“In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” Romans 12:5
