I encourage you to teach what the New Testament really teaches about tithing; that &quot;tithing&quot;, i.e. ten percent giving, is really only the starting point.  In fact, the New Testament teaches that we are invited to &quot;excel in the grace of giving&quot;, a model that actually encourages going above and beyond the tithe.  So for folks who say, &quot;The New Testament doesn&#039;t teach us to tithe,&quot; I say, &quot;You&#039;re absolutely right.  It teaches us to do more than tithe.  I&#039;m game, if you are!&quot;</description>
