Every created thing has a purpose. Doing what God has created us to do gives a strong sense of meaning and purpose. Pastor and author Max Lucado refers to this as finding your sweet spot. Any athlete can relate to this concept. As a golfer, there is nothing better than swinging a club in such a way that the center of the club connects with that perfect spot on the ball. When those two things come together, the swing is almost effortless, and the ball flies as far and straight as it possibly can. Both the ball and the club are doing exactly what they were created to do. This same principle is true with us as God’s special creations. When we find a way to serve that relates with our unique gifts, personality and temperament, we are able to experience Christ’s purpose for our lives.
