On Sunday, December 6th, we will be holding a Special Business Meeting between services (at 10am) to hold a membership vote on 3 remodel projects proposed for 2016. Take a look at the videos & descriptions below to review each of the projects being proposed, and if you are a member of First Baptist, be sure to join us at 10am this Sunday morning!
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY CHECK-IN REMODEL
The primary purpose of this project is to create a new, more open traffic pattern into our Children’s Ministry area. The remodel includes a new lobby entrance, check-in station, seating area and expansive workspace. Lively colors and design elements will help theme the new Children’s Ministry Check-In area in a way that creates a true child-like environment while still maintaining a clean aesthetic and maximum function.
MAIN WORSHIP CENTER ENTRANCE REMODEL
This project will include replacing the existing walkway awning with a roofed structure. Complete with new, brick-based columns, it will provide a fresh, updated “first impression” for visitors to First Baptist Church. In addition, the project will include a glass-enclosed vestibule and sliding glass doors, which will provide much-needed temperature control in the Worship Center lobby.
EAST LOBBY “GATHERING SPACE” EXPANSION
Last spring, our East Lobby hallway saw some significant updates, providing casual seating and gathering space that had not before been available anywhere in the church. This project involves expanding that gathering space by opening up the walls into Room 20. The expansion will provide additional seating and will be composed of design elements consistent with the existing East Lobby gathering space.
