FBC BENEVOLENt FUND

The past two years have brought us through uncharted territory. We have experienced upended routines and unsettling social practices. Even as much of the pandemic has begun to settle, there is still a great deal of impact left in its wake. While this presents a significant challenge to our community, it is also a time of opportunity. As God’s people, we can demonstrate His love to others through our generosity. As some of you are already aware, our church has a benevolence fund, which utilizes money donated primarily from First Baptist members to help ease the burden of people who need temporary assistance. As we witness increased burdens on those impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, we invite you to prayerfully consider contributing to the fund.

We recognize that not everyone has been or will be impacted equally. Some of you are blessed to be in a financially stable position - whether by continued employment, government stimulus assistance, and/or an overall decrease in your day-to-day spending during this time. If so, we encourage you to consider partnering with us in helping to provide relief to those for whom this season has been far more difficult. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, Paul says, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” Our Creator does not want to extract cash from you painfully.

For those of you who are experiencing financial difficulty as a direct result of this pandemic, the church will consider requests for help. To start the process, please click on the button below. Above all, remember Philippians 4:19: “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.”
